Carers Ticket Policy at MBGF

We offer a free Essential Companion / Carer Ticket for attendees who require another person to support them in accessing Manchester Board Game Festival.

If you require the assistance of a companion, Personal Assistant or carer to attend the festival, you can add a Carer Ticket when purchasing your admission ticket. There is no need to contact us in advance.

Each free Essential Companion / Carer Ticket must be booked alongside at least one paid admission ticket and is only valid when attending with the person they are supporting.

To help us prevent misuse of free companion tickets, please bring evidence showing that you require additional support, you will be asked to show this when you check in.

Examples of evidence we accept include:

• Proof of eligibility for disability-related benefits such as PIP, DLA or Attendance Allowance
• A valid Blue Badge
• A recognised Access Card showing an appropriate companion/PA requirement

If you require a companion but don't have one of the forms of evidence listed above, please get in touch with us before booking. We're happy to discuss alternative evidence or individual circumstances.
